ALLOY WHEEL PAINTING · MELBOURNE

Alloy wheel painting:
find your colour.

Your wheels frame the whole car. Compare a few colour combinations before you decide on a new finish.

Start with the look you want

Alloy wheel painting changes the appearance of the wheels you already own. You might want a darker colour to suit black exterior details, a brighter silver to show the spoke shape or a warmer bronze to contrast with the body. Choosing the colour in the context of the whole car makes that decision easier.

At Supreme Auto Customs in Thomastown, we discuss your preferred colour and finish, assess the wheel condition and confirm the painting scope before booking. A colour change and repairing a damaged wheel are different jobs. Tell us about any damage so we can assess what is suitable; paint alone does not repair a bent or cracked wheel.

Black, silver or bronze wheels?

There is no single best colour for every vehicle. Think about the body paint, visible calipers and exterior trim together. Use these combinations as starting points for your preview:

  • Black: a restrained look that works with dark trim. Compare it against silver so you can decide how clearly you want the spokes to stand out.
  • Silver: a lighter, classic appearance that keeps the wheel design visible. It can give a dark car a more defined contrast.
  • Bronze: a warmer contrast, particularly worth trying alongside white, blue or green body colours.
  • White or a custom colour: a stronger visual statement. Preview it with a subtle caliper colour as well as a contrasting one.

These are colour ideas rather than a list of guaranteed paint finishes. Ask us to confirm the shade, sheen and available options for your wheels. A screen colour cannot show every difference between a metallic, satin or gloss coating in daylight.

See your car before you book

Our See your car colour preview lets you compare wheel and caliper colours on AI-generated vehicle designs. No photo upload is needed for the prepared models. Choose the make, model, variant and available year, then change the rim colour. Switch between the side view and wheel detail to compare the combination in context.

The body colour control helps you try a look closer to your car’s existing colour. It is part of the preview and does not mean a full body-painting service is included. Try a few combinations, save your favourite preview and use it to explain the look you want when you enquire.

Prepared previews are free. They are representative concepts, so your exact trim, wheel design and the final paint appearance may differ. Read how the AI car colour preview works for the custom vehicle request option and what to expect.

What affects the painting quote?

The condition and existing finish of your wheels affect the preparation needed. When you request a quote, include your vehicle make, model and year, how many wheels you want painted, your preferred colour and clear photographs of the wheels. Describe any marks or other damage so we can discuss the scope with you.

We’ll confirm the painting scope, available finish, price, service timing and any applicable warranty with your wheel painting quote before work begins.

Coordinate wheels and calipers together

If you are considering both services, preview the two colours as a pair. Black wheels with red calipers create a different effect from silver wheels with black calipers. You can also keep the wheels subtle and use the caliper colour as the accent.

Tell us whether your quote should cover wheels only, calipers only or both. Our brake caliper painting guide explains high temperature resistant 2K paint, the standard caliper process and the caliper warranty. We confirm each service’s scope separately so your booking matches the work you want.
